Mr Samadhar SAng this song

The second contribution of the terrific trio – lyricist Gulzar, music director Anu Malik and singer Alka Yagnik – to the soundtrack of Fiza was the title track of the film.

Since it was called Tu Fiza Hai, it goes without saying that if the four songs from the film – spread across my blogs – were arranged in the alphabetical order, it would be the last.

Yagnik was joined behind the microphone by the one and only Sonu Nigam (who was nominated in the Best Male Playback Singer category at the Filmfare Awards in 2001) and Prashant Samadhar.

Sunidhi (Kar)sang this mind-blowing number

The title song of Mast (1999) was Sunidhi Chauhan’s breakthrough.

But it was another track that began with M – Mehboob Mere from Fiza – that was mind-blowing enough to earn her a nomination in the Best Female Playback Singh category at the Filmfare Awards in 2001.

She was joined behind the microphone by Karsan Sagathia.

It was the only contribution of lyricist Tejpal Kaur* to the film’s soundtrack.

Anu Malik composed the song.

(*Note: Kaur is the ex-wife of singer Sukhwinder Singh, who wasn’t roped in to lend his voice to any song in the film.)

Indeed, this duet was ‘AU’some

If the four tracks from the 2000 film Fiza – spread across my blogs – were arranged in the alphabetical order, Aaja Maahiya would be the first.

Alka Yagnik and Udit Narayan rendered it.

Gulzar was nominated in the Best Lyricist category at the Filmfare Awards in 2001.

This outstanding track was composed by Anu Malik, who was nominated in the Best Music Director category at the same ceremony.

As a teenager, I mistook the line that went, “Aa dhoop maloon main” for, “Aa thook maloon main” (which could be translated to, “Let me rub some spit”).

It featured three Superb VoiceS

Ek Ajnabee released in 2005. The only song from the film in my collection happened to be its title track. It was composed by Vishal Dad...
